What is an intensive driving course?
An intensive driving course is a series of driving lessons condensed into a shorter period of time than conventional driving lessons.
They can range from around 1-4 weeks.
Can I learn to drive in a week with an intensive driving course?
In theory, you can learn to drive in a week with an Intensive driving course. However, a one week intensive course may suit some individuals more than others. Therefore, it is important to make sure that the course you choose is definitely right for you.
How many hours of driving tuition do I get with an intensive driving course?
This will depend on your current experience. Completely new drivers may need around 40 to 45 hours.
Other students may only need around 10-15 hours to reach the required standard to pass the driving test.
Can I choose the hours of my intensive driving course?
Yes, your driving course will take place at mutually agreed times and dates.
Do I need any driving experience to take an intensive driving course?
No, there are intensive driving courses to suit all abilities. You can be a completely new driver or a more experienced driver.
How do I know if an intensive driving course is right for me?

Is it possible to take an intensive driving course if I have extra learning requirements or disabilities?
Yes. Many driving Schools will offer lessons to suit individuals with extra learning requirements or disabilities. Fantoni Driving School offers lessons to suit students with disabilities such as dyslexia or dyspraxia.
How soon after your Intensive course can I take my driving test?
Providing you and your instructor agree you are ready, it is possible for you to take your driving test as soon as you have finished your intensive driving course. However, this is also subject to driving test availability.
What qualifications and experience do our instructors have to carry out your intensive driving course.

Is it possible to get a refund if I am not satisfied with the intensive course?
If you aren’t satisfied with the standard of your tuition during your intensive course, you can request a refund.
Your normal consumer rights apply to your intensive driving course. Also, it is important to check the terms and conditions that are issued to you when you book your intensive driving course.
If your driving school is negligent, or has fallen below the industry standard, then these would be solid grounds upon which to request a refund.
Fantoni Driving School is a member of the Driving Instructor Association and has agreed to adhere to it’s code of practice.
How do I book an intensive driving course?
To book your intensive driving course, you can text, email or call us at Fantoni driving school. From there we can advise you on which intensive driving course is right for you. After that, a suitable date can be agreed over the phone or via the various messaging apps, such as Facebook or WhatsApp.
We can then book your practical and theory tests for you.
What if I fail my driving test at the end of my intensive driving course?
At Fantoni Driving School we have a high pass rate of around 70-80%. This is a lot higher than the national average of around 50%. However, if you do fail your hard work won’t be wasted. A new test can be rearranged soon after your first attempt. A few refresher lessons may be needed to address any issues from your first attempt.
